Analytics and advertising

When you see ads on Fictogram, they are being distributed by NitroPay via Google Ad Manager. To read Nitropay's privacy policy, check it out on their website here.

We use Google Analytics to understand visits and interactions with Fictogram. When analytics storage is denied, the Google tag does not use Analytics cookies or ordinary Analytics identifiers for that measurement. It may send limited cookieless signals, including the consent state and functional request information such as a timestamp, user agent, and referrer, so Google can produce aggregate behavioral estimates.

When the regional privacy rules and your choices allow analytics storage, Google may additionally process page and event data, browser and device details, approximate location derived from an IP address, and Analytics identifiers.

We have Google Signals enabled in our Google Analytics properties. When analytics storage is allowed, including after you consent, Google may associate event data from our Service with information about people who are signed in to their Google Accounts and have enabled Ads Personalization. This provides us with aggregated cross-device behavioral reporting and demographic and interest information, such as age ranges, gender, and interest categories. Google may apply privacy thresholds to these reports and does not expose the identity of individual signed-in users to us.

We keep Google's advertising storage, advertising user data, and advertising-personalization consent settings denied in our own Analytics configuration. Those settings are separate from using Google Signals for the consented, aggregated Analytics reporting described above.

If you have any privacy concerns as a result of playing Fictogram, or would like the information collected from you to be deleted, send us a message via the form on the Trainwreck Labs website.

Trainwreck Assistant Discord Bot

Trainwreck Labs operates Trainwreck Assistant (the "Bot") on Discord. This section applies specifically to the Bot's Bug Reporter feature and supplements the rest of this Privacy Policy.

Data the Bot processes

The Bug Reporter listens for newly created messages in no more than two Discord channels selected by the server administrator. It checks each message's channel ID against that allowlist before using the message content. For a message in an allowed channel, the Bot processes:

  • the source author's Discord user ID, global display name, or username when no global display name is available;
  • the message's text content; and
  • the Discord guild, channel, and message IDs needed to identify the source and construct a link to the original message.

The Bot ignores messages written by bots and by the designated DM recipient. It does not use a source author's server-specific nickname, and the application code does not inspect or forward attachments, embeds, components, polls, reactions, message history, edits, or deletions.

How the data is used

The Bot uses this data only to notify one designated server administrator about a new message in a monitored channel. It formats the author name, source channel ID, message text, and a link to the original message into a notification and sends it to that administrator as a Discord DM. The complete notification is limited to 1,800 characters, so a long source message may also truncate the appended link.

Trainwreck Labs does not use this Discord message data for advertising, user profiling, sale or monetization, analytics, or training or operating machine-learning or artificial-intelligence models. The Bot does not classify the message or send its content to a non-Discord messaging service.

Service providers and disclosure

Discord provides the messaging platform, Gateway events, REST API, and destination DM. Railway hosts the Bot and processes message data transiently while the notification is prepared and sent. Review the service providers' own policies at Discord Privacy and Railway Privacy. Beyond processing by Discord and Railway as described above, message content is disclosed only to the designated DM recipient, except when disclosure is required by law.

Storage and retention

The Bug Reporter holds source-message content and author data in Railway process memory only while it formats and attempts to deliver the notification. The application does not persist that source data in a database, file, cache, analytics platform, or application log, and it has no persistent volume. The forwarded notification remains as a Discord DM and is therefore retained on Discord under Discord's policies and controls rather than in off-platform storage operated by Trainwreck Labs.

The running process keeps temporary connection state, such as its Gateway session and sequence data, heartbeat and forwarding timestamps, bot user ID, and cached DM channel ID. The configured source-channel and recipient IDs are stored as Railway environment variables. These values do not contain the forwarded message text or source author's display name.

Choices and privacy requests

The Bot does not provide a per-user opt-out. A user can avoid this processing by not posting in a monitored channel. A server administrator can remove the Bot's access to a channel or remove the Bot from the server. The Bot operator can also remove the channel from the Bot's configuration.

To ask a question or make an access or deletion request concerning the Bot, use the Trainwreck Labs contact form. Include enough information to identify the relevant Discord server, channel, and message, but do not send bot tokens or other account credentials.

Privacy Policy of Trainwreck Labs

Trainwreck Labs operates the fiction.chronogram.chat website, which provides the SERVICE.

This page is used to inform website visitors regarding our policies with the collection, use, and disclosure of Personal Information if anyone decided to use our Service, the Fictogram website.

Using the core Service does not require you to consent to optional analytics. We process information needed to provide and secure the Service, and process optional analytics or advertising information only as described in this policy and the applicable privacy choices.

The terms used in this Privacy Policy have the same meanings as in our Terms and Conditions, which is accessible at fiction.chronogram.chat, unless otherwise defined in this Privacy Policy.

Information Collection and Use

You can play the core daily games without creating an account. If you choose to sign in, subscribe, contact us, or submit another form, we process the account, contact, transaction, and form information needed to provide that feature. Payment details are processed by our payment provider rather than stored directly by the games.

Log Data

Our hosting, security, analytics, and advertising providers may receive technical information needed to deliver their services. Depending on the provider and your choices, this can include an IP address, browser and device details, requested pages, request times, and interaction events. We use this information to operate, secure, troubleshoot, and understand the Service.

Cookies

Cookies and similar browser storage are small pieces of data used to remember state. Some are needed for features such as login, security, or remembering a privacy choice. Optional analytics and advertising storage is controlled by the applicable regional privacy experience.

Refusing optional storage does not prevent access to the core games. It can make optional or personalized features unavailable. You can also use browser controls to block or delete stored data, although deleting a privacy-choice cookie may cause the site to ask for that choice again.

NitroPay provides our consent-management platform. Where required by applicable law, it asks for your choices before analytics, advertising, or similar non-essential storage is enabled. You can refuse consent without losing access to the core Service, although some optional or personalized features may be unavailable.

You can review, change, or withdraw your choices at any time using the "Update consent preferences" control in the page footer. The control is shown only in regions where NitroPay makes it applicable. Eligible US residents can use the "Do Not Sell My Personal Information" control in the same footer to manage the choices NitroPay makes available. You can use the contact form below if the displayed control does not cover the right you want to exercise.

When a supported browser sends a Global Privacy Control signal, we do not start the Trainwreck Labs Google Analytics property. NitroPay operates its advertising and consent scripts separately; its handling of advertising choices is governed by the controls it displays and its own privacy policy.

Service Providers

We may employ third-party companies and individuals due to the following reasons:

  • To facilitate our Service;
  • To provide the Service on our behalf;
  • To perform Service-related services; or
  • To assist us in analyzing how our Service is used.

We want to inform our Service users that these third parties have access to your Personal Information. The reason is to perform the tasks assigned to them on our behalf. However, they are obligated not to disclose or use the information for any other purpose.

California Privacy Rights

This section supplements the rest of this Privacy Policy for California residents. Depending on how you use our Service, we may collect the following categories of personal information:

  • identifiers, such as your name, email address, account or platform identifiers, IP address, and browser or device identifiers;
  • commercial information, such as subscription status, purchase history, and transaction records;
  • internet or other electronic network activity, such as pages visited, game activity, interactions with the Service, and analytics or advertising events;
  • approximate location information inferred from your IP address;
  • professional or education information that you choose to provide, including information submitted through teacher applications; and
  • inferences that analytics or advertising providers may derive from activity on the Service.

We collect this information from you, your browser or device, and service providers such as authentication, analytics, advertising, payment, and hosting providers. We use it to provide and secure the Service, authenticate accounts, process subscriptions, respond to requests, understand and improve usage, measure and support advertising, and comply with legal obligations.

We may disclose these categories of information to providers that perform services on our behalf, to analytics and advertising partners including NitroPay and Google, and when required for legal, safety, or business-transfer purposes. We do not sell personal information for money. Some advertising and analytics disclosures may be considered a sale or sharing of personal information under California law.

Subject to applicable exceptions, California residents may have the right to know and access personal information, request deletion or correction, opt out of its sale or sharing, limit certain uses of sensitive personal information, and exercise these rights without discriminatory treatment. We do not knowingly sell or share the personal information of consumers under 16 years old.

California residents can opt out of sales or sharing using the "Do Not Sell My Personal Information" privacy control in the page footer when it is available. A supported Global Privacy Control signal also prevents our own Google Analytics property from starting. You can submit an access, correction, deletion, sale or sharing opt-out, or other privacy request through the Trainwreck Labs contact form. We may need to verify your identity before completing a request. An authorized agent may submit a request on your behalf if they provide proof of their authority and we can verify the request as required by law.

We retain personal information only for as long as reasonably necessary for the purposes described above, including providing the Service, maintaining security and business records, resolving disputes, and meeting legal obligations. Retention periods depend on the type of information and why it was collected.

Security

We value your trust in providing us your Personal Information, thus we are striving to use commercially acceptable means of protecting it. But remember that no method of transmission over the internet, or method of electronic storage is 100% secure and reliable, and we cannot guarantee its absolute security.

Our Service may contain links to other sites. If you click on a third-party link, you will be directed to that site. Note that these external sites are not operated by us. Therefore, we strongly advise you to review the Privacy Policy of these websites. We have no control over, and assume no responsibility for the content, privacy policies, or practices of any third-party sites or services.

Children's Privacy

Our Services do not address anyone under the age of 13. We do not knowingly collect personal identifiable information from children under 13. In the case we discover that a child under 13 has provided us with personal information, we immediately delete this from our servers. If you are a parent or guardian and you are aware that your child has provided us with personal information, please contact us so that we will be able to do necessary actions.

Changes to This Privacy Policy

We may update our Privacy Policy from time to time. Thus, we advise you to review this page periodically for any changes. We will notify you of any changes by posting the new Privacy Policy on this page. These changes are effective immediately, after they are posted on this page.
